What This Site Is
The Lava Lamp Guide is a free, read-only reference built for anyone who has ever picked up a vintage Mathmos lamp at a car boot sale and wondered what it actually is, or pulled an old one down from the attic and found the wax sitting in a sad, congealed lump at the bottom. It exists for the curious beginner who has never owned a lava lamp and wants to understand how they work, and equally for the more experienced collector trying to identify an obscure model or diagnose a fault they have not seen before.
There are no accounts, no forums, and nothing to sign up for. It is simply a collection of well-organised articles, written to be read.
Why It Was Built
